March 21 2026 Bee Handling In Hive Class

A bee suit and gloves are required for this event, along with a signed waiver. 

About the Class:

• This is a hands-on event in the bee yard.
• It does not replace the beginners’ class, but rather lets you see what you learned in class in a hive and gives you some hands-on experience.
• We will open a hive, and Ray will show you how to handle frames, read a frame, inspect, do a mite test, mark a queen, install a package, etc.
• Questions and personal attention will be given to each student.
• Children age 10 and up are welcome.

Schedule:

• 10.30 -12 pm
• Subject to good weather, it will be rescheduled if it is raining or if the temperature is below 60 degrees.

Ticket Costs:

• Adult Ticket is $15

What to bring: 

• You must have a bee suit with gloves, long, thick pants like jeans, and closed-toed shoes.
• Restroom on site for your use.
