In-Person Class 201 Intermediate Beekeeping Course
Time: 9 am – 1 pm.

Over 3+ hours of LIVE instruction with time for your questions
Held in our Air Conditioned Bee Room  Bee Suits are required for the hands-on part of the class

Recommended for beekeepers with at least 6 months or longer experience.

Class 201 Intermediate Beekeeping

3+ hours of skills to take your beekeeping to the next level.    Recommended for beekeeping who have had a hive for a min or 6 months or longer.

• Queens:  Finding, Marking
• How to Split Your Hives
• 5 Frame vs 2 frame nucs and resource hives.
• Dealing with Queen cells.
• Avoiding swarms – Inducing swarms.
• Demaree Method of swarm prevention, honey production
• Catching swarms – Making Traps
• Queen Castles and Mating.
• Requeening, when and why
• And a full session on Rearing Queens with and without grafting
